OAMARU TOURNAMENT FOURS COMPETITION Special to the Daily Times OAMARU, Apl. 16. The second day of the Fours in the Oamaru Easter bowling tournament was held under favourable weather conditions, and resulted in llj qualifying for the Championship Fours with six or more wins. J. D. Forbes (Phoenix) was the only skip to finish with more than the required six wins, having seven to his credit. J. A. Veitch (Dunedin), who had only two wins on the first day, won his fourth game to-day against A. Robertson, jun,, by a single point, and thus qualified. J. S. Jamieson (Phcenix) and H. H. Gibbons (Barrington) also secured four wins to-day to qualify. There was a reversal of form in two winners of four games on Friday. G. W. Atkinson (Meadowbank) and E. Pile (Hampden), who won only one game to-day and qualified for the President’s Fours. Twenty-nine qualified for this competition witli four- or five wins. F. E. Malcolmsori (Waimate), I. H. Schrader (Waimate) and G. Mcßeath (Awamoa) each won their four games to-day to qualify with five wins. Results, the total wins for the two days being shown in parentheses:— Meadowbank No. 2. H.
