BELGIANS PAY HOMAGE
RETURN OF PRINCESS JOSEPHINE NZPA—Copyright
Rec. 8 p.m. BRUSSELS, Apl. 13. Thousands of Belgians joyfully welcomed Princess Josephine Charlotte, the eldest daughter of exiled King Leopold, when she drove through Flanders to-day—the third day of her first visit to Belgium since the Royal Family was deported by the Germans five years ago. In scenes reminiscent of the celebrations after liberation, her car was mobbed in every village and township through which she passed. Farmers left their fields to line the roadsides, and wave. Belgian flags draped the front of cottages, and photographs of King Leopold were prominently displayed at windows.
