MILITARY TRAINING
GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES FULL CIVILIAN PAY GRANTED PA WELLINGTON, Apl. 14. In order to encourage Government employees to do military training in the territorial forces, Cabinet has decided that public servants training in the armed forces may be granted full civilian pay for up to two weeks yearly or may accept service pay if annual leave or leave without pay is taken
Announcing this' to-day, the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, said he hoped that the lead given by the Government would be widely followed by private firms by the way of allowing employees time off for military training and adjusting any difference between normal pay and service pay.
