INAUGURATION DELAYED

BLENHEIM-CHRISTCHURCH AIR SERVICE PA BLENHEIM, Apl. 14. The new passenger air service to link Blenheim and Christchurch, which the National Airways Corporation last year intimated would be in operation early this year, will not now be started until such time as a radio homing beacon is installed at Blenheim. This was stated in a letter to the Blenheim Chamber of Commerce from the general manager of the corporation, Mr M. F. Clarke. “The Air Department advises that the establishment of a homing beacon at Blenheim will not be completed until later this year, and therefore the inauguration of the . proposed air service must be held over until this navigational aid is provided,” stated Mr Clarke.
