SYDNEY, Apl. 13. Negotiations completed and in progress nrovided for the greatest expansion of Woolworths, Ltd., in the firms history, -aid the deputy chairman. Mr E. R. Williams, at the annual meeting. The increase in the past year’s profits was solely attributable to the increase in turnover, which more than offset higher wages and other costs. Shareholders agreed to increase nominal capital from £2,000,000 to £5,000,000 by creating 12,000,000 ordinary shares of 5s each.
