The New Zealand Gazette reports that Mr J. D. Willis, S.M., has been appointed chairman of the Dunedin Licensing Committee in place of Mr H. W. Bundle, who recently retired from the Bench, and Mr J. G. Warrington, S.M., has been appointed chairman of the North Dunedin Licensing Committee. Mr J. J. Anderson, who has been the assistant transport officer of the New Zealand Railways in Dunedin for the past 12 months, has been promoted to the position of transport officer. At a special meeting of the Otago Hospital Board on Thursday afternoon, it was decided to recommend to the Minister of Health that Mr W A Williamson be appointed secretarytreasurer to the board. The decision was taken after a ballot had been made to decide the final choice from the applications received, which had been narrowed down to three. Mr Williamson has been acting secretary to the board since the retirement o| Mr Jacobs.
