INTERNATIONAL PRESSMEN Rec. 9 p.m. NEW YORK, Apl. 15. The United Nations General Assembly’s Social Committee to-day defeated a Polish proposal to allow Governments to ban correspondents who were connected with Fascist or Nazi organisations or who were “ known for their slanderous statements.” Poland sought the inclusion of the proposals in the proposed international convention on news gathering. The committee adopted an article calling on States to facilitate the freest .possible movement of correspondents.
