WAITATI SPORTS CARNIVAL Record entries for a country district were attracted to the Highland dancing competitions conducted by the Piping and Dancing Association of New Zealand at the sixth annual sports carnival held at Waitati last Saturday. Many items, however, had to be deleted from the programme because of stormy weather. Competitions, ranging from a beauty contest for children under eight years of age to the largest family on the ground were held, and a display by the Otago Motor Cycle Club proved a popular feature. Selections were played during the day by the Dunedin Highland Pipe Band . Cleans your floor while polishing— QUEEN BEE WAX saves hours of dreary labour. In three sizes—lid, Is Bd, and 2s Bd, at all stores.—Advt.
