HOMING PIGEONS

The Oamaru Homing Pigeon Club flew, the second your.g bird race of the season from Temuka, a distance of Q2 miles, on Saturday Mr J. Young liberated the birds and rough weather was encountered in the latter part of the flight. The results were very close and encouraging to ali lofts. Results;— A. L. Macrae’s Young Trent (velocity TOGO yards per minute) 1. W. Lundberg’s Trixie (1085) 2, D. Mcßride’s King George (1074) 3, George Napier's Great Success (1064) 4. 'Die winning bird covered the distance in lhr 39min 32sec.
