LICENSING SCHEDULE
AMENDMENTS ANNOUNCED Advice has been received by the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce from the Comptroller of Customs of the following amendments relative to the Import Schedule for the 1949 period:— Cocoa Butter—ex item 31: Licences issued for the importation of cocoa butter from the United Kingdom may be used for imports of similar goods from Holland or British West Africa. Dried Prunes —ex item 36 (1): Consideration will be given to applications from regular importers for licences to import prunes from Australia if supported by definite evidence of availability. It is desired that imports be confined to the better grades. Brattice Cloth—item 144: The exising allocation is amended to “ C.” Glassware N.E.1.. etc.—item 225: The existing allocation is increased to " BB 1948. Brass Rods and Bars—ex item 357 (2): Applications for licences to import brass rods and bars are to be supported by the following certificates:—“l hereby declare that none of the sizes or specifications of brass bar or rod covered by this application is obtainable from surplus stocks held by the Stores Control Board.”
