“ONLY ONE CHANCE”

Sir,—Who is offering us a new home? We lost our ancient home and look out for a new one now. We are displaced persons, came from the Baltic States, a Latvian family consisting of three persons, living in Germany now for already four years; our situation is without any hope. We look out for a firm, manufactory or farm which might give work and living to us, for we like work. My wife and I should like every sort of work: we should totally leave conditions of working unto the contractor. I am 33 years old; all I possess Is no diploma, no BA. or M.A., but two hands and really willing to work. Until now was worker m agriculture, in ports, manufactories, mechanical workshops and as a machinist in an electric station. I speak English and German. My wife is 30 years old. For some years she worked as a nurse in hospital, besides this as a worker in a manufactory and In agriculture. Our son is 3J years old. If there were any noble contractor Interested in our working power, we politely demand him to send us a contract or a offering of work addressed to: Family VIRSIS (14b) Reutlingen, Georgenstr, 18, Germany. We don’t look out for material support. The passage and other costs will be paid by IRO and ourselves We don't look out for good luck, but only for human living conditions and a new home.
