PREFERENCE FOR GIRLS
PA WELLINGTON, Mar. 24 A preference of two to one for girls and a slight margin in favour of lads and lasses from Scotland over other areas are indicated in applications being made by people throughout New Zealand for the guardianship of British children under the scheme being sponsored by the Government. To date, over 200 applications have been approved by the Child Welfare Department.
