CLOUDY AND COOL The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation. —A deep depression lies south of New Zealand and an anticyclone is over the North-west Tasman Sea Forecast to 5 p.m.—Fresh to strong south-west winds. A few scattered showers in South Otago, but weather otherwise fair to cloudy and cool. Weather in Dunedin.—Although a total of 7hr 42min of sunshine was recorded in the city yesterday, temperatures were moderate, varying between 48.8 degrees and 56.5 degrees. A west wind blew strongly at times and brought a trace of rain. The midnight was steady at“29.74in.
