STILL NO HOME
EVICTED FAMILY VACANT HOUSES IN CITY Mrs C. Campbell, who with her husband and seven children, was evicted from her home in Macandrew road four weeks ago, is still without a house. Members of the family are boarding in five different places, and the cost is in excess of the family income. Mrs Campbell told the Daily Times yesterday that she had endeavoured to obtain the tenancy of four vacant places of residence in Dunedin, but ir each case had been refused. One house, in Anderson’s Bay road, had been empty since last August. Another house, in Castle street, was also empty but it was owned by a city firm which intended to demolish it. Two other empty places of residence were alongside the tramsheds. but, Mrs Campbell said, they were being held for storage purposes.
