REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES The Otago —Messrs J. Fairley, J. Dymand and T. Allen—have chosen the following to represent Otago against Southland in a match for the Bates Shield at Hancock Park to-morrow afternoon. W. Hill (pitcher), W. Winslade (vice-cap-tain, catcher), W. Dickison (first baseman). H. Petrie (second baseman), L. Shepherd (third baseman), I. Mann (short stop), I. Joss (left outfield), T. Lethaby (captain, centre outfield), G. Nelson (right outfield) Emergencies—l. Hay, Barnes and W. Saul. The following will represent the Otago Colts against the Southland Colts in a match for the Norman Darling Cup: A. McCallum (pitcher), M. Oates (catcher), D. Wood (first baseman), J. Plato (second baseman), K. Thompson (third baseman), W. Murphy (vice-captain, short stop), J. Finn (left outfield), D. Meek (captain, centre outfield), L. Anderson (right outfield). Emergencies—A. Hargreaces, J. Calder and H. Orr. The manager-coach for both teams is Mr J. Goodman.
