YACHTING IN OTAGO
Sir,—ln answer to “ Old Timer’s ” wisecracks, I would like to let him know that I, for one, have attended every regatta, and have raced every Sunday this season. I have finished every time. I would also like to state that “ Old Timer ’’ may take the tiller of my boat on any rough day and see if he can do any better than the lads concerned. I am always willing to learn from a practical man, or maybe “ Old Timer ” is just another “ armchair ” critic.—l am, etc., XlO.
Sir,—" Old Timer’s “ remarks on Otago yachting are not complimentary to my yachting friends. Could I remind " Old Timer ” of something he has missed, or any “ old timer ” would do, to put the best you can into your sport, look for the best, and I am sure you will get quite a lot of enjoyment out of it?— l am, etc., G. H. R. lies.
