POWER SPECIAL ORDER FOR THE RAISING OF £SBOO UNDER A LOAN TO BE CALLED - RENEWAL LOAN, 1949.” PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in pursuance and exercise oi the powers vested in it m tnat behalf by - The Local Locnes Loans Act, I92ti,’’ and “ The Bietlnc power Boards Act, 1925,” the Waitaiu Electric Power Board, having obtained the precedent sanction of the Local Government Loans Board and the consent oi the Governor-General in Council to the raisng of a Loan of Five thousand eight hundred pounds (£5800), to be known as " Renewal Loan, 1949,” for the purpose of paying oli part of a Special noun designated as “ Extension Loan, 19j9,” at maturity of securities issued in respect of tne said “ Extension Loan, 1939,” a Resolution by way of Special Oraer was passed by tne Waitaki Electric Power Board on the 21st day of March 1949, to borrow the said sum oi five thousand eight hundred pounds l£5800) for a term of ten (10) years at a rate of interest of Three pounds two shillings and sixpence (£3 2s 6d) per centum per annum. The said Loan, together with interest thereon as aforesaid, will be repaid by equal aggregate halfyearly instalments oi principal and interest extending over the said term of ten (10) years. For the purpose of providing security for the interest and other charges on the said Loan a special annually recurring rate of 0.024 of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Waitaki Electric Power District has been made and levied, but will not necessarily be collected. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that it is the intention of the Waitaki Electric Power Board to CONFIRM the said Resolution by way of Special Order at a MEETING to be- held at 11.45 a.m. on the 20th day of APRIL, 1949, in the Waitaki Electric Power Board’s Offices, Thames street, Oamaru, and that a copy of the said Resolution by way of Special Order is deposited at the Public Office of the Board and at the Office of the Local Authority of each constituent district and is OPEN TO INSPECTION by the public for at least twenty-one days immediately preceding the said 18th day of APRIL, 1949, the day appointed lor the holding of the subsequent Meeting .at which it is intended that the said Resolution by way of' Special Order shall be confirmed.
