AUSTRIAN TREATY TALKS

LITTLE PROGRESS DURING SIX WEEKS’ DISCUSSION NZPA—Reuter—Copyright LONDON, Mar. 22. After the deputies to the Foreign Ministers of France, Britain, the United States, and Russia had completed six weeks of unsuccessful discussion on the Austrian peace treaty to-day the British delegate, Mr J. A. Marjoribanks, said: “The sands of patience are running out.” No progress has been made on the disputed clauses of the treaty or on the Yugoslav demands for border adjustments which have been made during the 30 meetings. “After all this we hear from the Soviet delegate that he accepts the Yugoslav demands in principle.” added Mr Marjoribanks.
