SCATTERED MORNING SHOWERS The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation.—A deep depression lies south-east of New Zealand, and a cold front is moving east over the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate to fresh west or south-west winds, strong this morning in exposed positions. Some scattered showers this morning, fair to cloudy this afternoon. Temperatures cool. Weather in Dunedin.—The maximum temperature in Dunedin was down to 51.9 deg yesterday, with a minimum of 38.6 deg. There were five hours of sunshine and 0.19 in of rain. The wind xvas from a westerly direction. The barometer reading at midnight was 29.65 deg, after reaching a maximum of 30deg during the day.
