GUARD AGAINST LEAKAGES Rec. 9.30 p.m. LONDON. Mar. 10. A new Patents and Designs Bill introduced in Parliament provides protection against a leakage qf British atomic secrets and defence inventions to foreign Powers. . . The Bill makes permanent provision for ensuring the secrecy of inventions indispensable to national defence and it ensures that inventors of anything likely to affect national defence cannot patent inventions abroad before they have been rigorously examined in Britain. Inventors breaking these regulations are liable to imprisonment of up to two years and a fine of up to £SOO.
