ANNUAL ATHLETIC SPORTS JOHN McGLASHAN COLLEGE Six new records were established at the John McGlashan College’s annual athletic championship meeting at the University Oval yesterday. The outstanding athlete of the day was I. Jackson, runner-up in the Senior Cup. He bettered the previous record by o.4osec in winning the 220 Yards in 24.45ec and returned excellent times in three other flat events: The winner of the Senior Cup, H. Wilson,, won five events, including the Hop, Step®and Jump with a record distance of 40ft sJin. The intermediate champion, B. Smirk, set a new record when he cleared the High Jump bar at sft, and the runner-up in the championship, H. Patton, clipped nearly a second off the 90 Yards Hurdles record. The junior section did not produce any outstanding performers, but the cup winner, W. Moffit, did well to take four events. Winner of the Primary School championship, N.
