FEEDING OF ANIMALS
Sir,—l would like to draw the attention of owners of dogs and cats to the unintentional cruelty caused by wrong feeding. The hunt in which these animals obtained the strenuous exercise tvhich is instrumental in helping them to keep strong and healthy is now no more. Gastric disturbances, foreign bodies, and pyorrhoea are far too common and can be traced to wrong feeding. Raw meat and bones is all that need be fed from the time of weaning. Undiluted milk, too, is excellent. Offal should not be given, nor such foods as cake, bread, biscuits, potatoes, etc. Cooked bones are a source of danger to the animals' life.— I am. etc..
