CRICKET COACH FUND
The Otago Cricket Association is appealing to the public of Otago for subscriptions to form 9 fund sufficient to enable the services of a professional cricket coach to be secured Subscriptions will be accepted by the Daily Times, and all contributions will be acknowledged in our columns. The following have been received:—
CADETSHIPS IN NAVY FILLED PA WELLINGTON. Mar. 9. The Minister of Defence, Mr Jonos, announced to-day that three of the five cadetships offered in the executive branch of the Royal New Zealand Navy last September have been filled. The successful candidates are J. A. Riddell (Dannevirke), D. G. Burgess (Auckland) and R. G Muscliamp (Christchurch). They will leave this month for England to undergo about four years of training in England.
