I BIRbHALL.—On March 5, 1949, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs A. E. Clausen. 8 Willis street, Palmerston North, Arthur Thomas, dearly loved husband of • Gertrude Birchall, of 9 Cook street, Palmerston North, and loving father of Arthur, Hazel, Stanley, Kenneth, Laura and Owen.

BUNGARD.—On March 8, 1949, at Balclutha, Ethel, loved sister of Miss E. Kirby, Mrs R. Henderson, and Mrs Patey (Balclutha), Mrs W. Morrisson (Kaitangata), Mrs McDonnell (Oamaru), and Les (Dunedin) and Frank (Christchurch) and Horace (Oamaru). MARTIN.—On March 9, 1949, at Dunedin, May Maud, beloved youngest daughter of the late William and Eliza Martin (late of Patowai); aged 65 years.
