WOMEN’S GOLF
Chisholm Park Club.—On Tuesday the mid-week section of the Chisholm‘Park Ladies’ Golf Club played a Sealed Holes and Concealed Partners' Match. The winners were Mrs Wood and Mrs Kindley 61J net. Mrs Wood reduced her handicap by three strokes, Mrs Williams by two strokes and Mrs Jones by one stroke. Next Tuesday an LGU Match will be played.
St. Clair Club.—The best scores returned in the Four-ball Stableford played at the Corstorphine links on Tuesday were: Mrs E. A. Osborne (12) and Miss D. Gray (17) 56; Mrs E. Sinclair (17) and Mrs F. G. Coxhead (18), 53; Mrs D. C. Bennie (18) and Mrs F. G. McPherson (17), 52; 'Mrs M. L. Williams (17) and Mrs E. Cursey (18), 52. A Medal Match was played on Saturday by the week-end section. The best results were: Miss Catherwood 112—36—76, Mrs Moen 110—33—77. Otago Club.—An LGU Medal Match was played at the Otago links on Tuesday, Mrs E. G. Williams donating trophies for the match. The best scores we re:— A Grade.—Mrs Kaye 86—17—69, Mrs Paul 91—16—75. Mrs Wilson 90—13—77, Mrs Dolan 83—5—78, Mrs Williams 91—13 78 B Grade.—Mrs Greenfield 98 —25—73, Airs Gamble 93—20—73, Miss Dunlop 99—22 77, Mrs Sterling 100—31—79. Mrs Kaye. Mrs Greenfield and Mrs Gamble all reduced their handicaps by one stroke and Mrs Greenfield won on the count back from Mrs Gamble. A Medal Match was played on Saturday morning by the week-end players. The best scores were: Miss Keefe 95—26—69, Mrs Anderson 91—14- -77. Mrs Foxton 102— 25—77. Next Saturday morning an LGU Medal Match will be played.
