FURTHER RESIGNATION
UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL MR ROYALL DUE TO LEAVE NEW YORK, Mar. 7. The departure from the Government of Mr Kenneth Royall, United States Secretary of the Army, may be made public before March 20. This was learned in Key West, Florida, where President Truman is on vacation, reports the United Press correspondent. The decision to accept Mr Royali’s resignation was made long before the President left Washington yesterday. It is reported that no decision has yet been reached on Mr Royall’s successor. Mr Royall will follow Mr J. V. Forrestal (the former Defence Secretary) into retirement.
