TEMPERATURES MODERATE The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone covers the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Winds light to moderate and variable. Weather fair to fine with moderate temperatures. Weather in Dunedin.—Although the sun shone for 9hr 42min yesterday a cool 1 moderate breeze from the south-east modified temperatures, which ranged from 52.8 to 58.9 degrees. There was a slight frost in the morning, when the grass minimum temperature was 29.7 • degrees. Rainfall totalled 0.01 inches. The barometer was fairly steady at midnight, when it read 30.35 inches.
