TEKAPO STRIKE
NEGOTIATIONS TO-DAY PA TIMARU, Feb. 21. Negotiations for the settlement of the dispute at the Lake Tekapo hydroelectric development works are expected to take place at Lake Tekapo to-morrow between senior engineers of the Public Works Department and representatives of the New Zealand Workers’ Union. All members of the union were addressed to-day at Lake Tekapo by Mr W. Wallace, the national president. The strike started at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday, and only essential services have been maintained by the workers since then.
