ROBINSON CUP WON BY PALMERSTON B The weather was fine for the continuation of the Waihemo cricket sub-asso-ciation’s competition <?n Saturday. Best batting performances were registered by E. Glover (Dunback) 49, G. Martin (Watea) 55. Bowling for Watea, R. Milne secured the excellent average of eight for 27, while I. Stevenson (Dunback) bowled well, obtaining seven for 27: E. Stanley (Dunback). three for 6. Palmerston B, by defeating Palmerston A, now holds the Robinson Cup which the A team has held for a considerable time. Results:— „ , _ Palmerston B 122 (D. McLelland 24, B Robertson 31. J. Kane 29 not out; B. Allan five for 31) defeated Palmerston A 96 (R. Pope 31. M- Allan 14. A. Forbes 13: A. McLelland two for 37, J. Vinnecombe three for 18, J. Aspinall two for none). Dunback 109 (I. Stevenson 31. E. Glover 49: R. Milne eight for 27) d-feated Watea 84 (G. Martin 55, J. Tipa 14; I. Stevenson seven for 27, E. Stanley three for 6).
