TO BE OFFERED AT THE SECOND ANNUAL OTAGO BLOODSTOCK SALE. At the WINGATUI RACECOURSE On FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25. 1949. At 2 p.m. TWO-YEAR-OLD BROWN FILLY, BY ROYAL CHIEF (4) OUT OF SPEARETTE (18). She is a full sister to MILLY MANDY, a four-year-old mare who won the Trial at Watkouaiti, six furlongs, by two lengths, in lmin 15sec, on January 1, 1948, and subsequently ran fourth in the Clare Memorial (one mile and half a furlong) at Omakau. She was third to SOLJMBINE and WAICOE in the Hagley at Riccarton (seven in lmin 25sec) last November, and went on to win over six furlongs and a-half at Omakau on January 15, after being third in the High-weight. She is closely related to recent winners in LORD CHASE, PETER GAZELLE and VALIANT PRINCE. The above is a second foal to ROYAL CHIEF, and is of outstanding conformation. ■RIGHT, STEPHENSON & CO., LTD.
