GREASY MERINOS FIRM A cablegram from London states that the London wool sales closed on Friday on a firm rate with competition good for all descriptions. Compared with opening sales, greasy Merinos were fully firm and sometimes in the sellers’ favour. Greasy crossbred over 50’s were in keen demand, and medium quality, although selling steadily, remained 10 per cent, cheaper.
