THE WEATHER
FAIR AND MILD The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— ■ Situation.—An anti-cyclone is moving on to northern and central New Zealand. Pressure is still low to the south. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate winds from a westerly quarter; a few brief showers later on the south coast, otherwise weather fair and mild. Further Outlook.—Fair to cloudy. , Weather in Dunedih.—The weather was, on' the whole, pleasant in Dunedin yesterday, with Bhr 36min of sunshine and a maximum temperature of 68.8 deg. The minimum temperature was 60deg and the grass minimum 57deg. The rainfall recorded up to 9.30 a.m. was 0.09 m, and the wind was from the south-west. The ■ barometer rose sharply from noon, the # midnight reading being 30.05 in.
