QUICK TRICK SHOULD RACE WELL AT WINTON

Quick Trick, one of those on the frontmark in the Otapiri Trot at Winton, has been placed in three of her five starts this season, the most recent of them being in the Kiwi Class Trot at Wyndham on New Year’s Day, when she was second to First Lord. A five-year-old by Grattan Loyal, she was got from Holly Potts, by Jack Potts from Wild Child, by Wildwood Jim from Lady Child, by Rothschild from Ptarmigan, by Young Irvington. Consistent Pacer Sandy Logan finished fourth in each of his races at Forbury Park and the consistent son of Sandydale will be popular with place bettors at Hutt Park. Speedy sort „ Old Scotch showed a good turn of speed m. the Gore Memorial Handicap at the Forbury Park meeting last Saturday, and the U, Scott gelding should pay expenses at the Hutt Park' meeting. Won at Vincent Meeting Sporty Boy, who recently changed hands, had his only win of the season at the Vincent meeting, where he was successful in the Vincent Trotting Stakes, the place-getters being Our Flicka and Counterpart. Earlier in the day he .had finished third to Kingsley and Foreign Li ?n y u ln th ® New Year Trot. Sporty Boy will have his next race at the Winton meeting on Saturday. Engaged at Winton , Sandy Ridge, a candidate for the Otapiri Trot at Winton, had his only two races of the season at the Vincent meetly® collected a second and a fourth. A six-year-old by Sandydale. he is from Central Pointer, by Logan Pointer from a Bellman mare, . her second dam being a thoroughbred mare. Central Pointer .was bred by Mr J. Hamilton, and Sandy Ridge races in his interests.
