BALCLUTHA STOCK SALE
The last Balclutha stock sale for 1948 was held yesterday. Particularly small yardings of fat and store sheep were penned, the numbers being 69 and 184 respectively. Values overall were on a par with late rates. Quotations: — Fat Sheep.—Prime shorn ewes, 35s 3d; medium shorn‘ewes, 33s 6d. Store Sheep.—Good conditioned fourtooth shorn wethers, 46s sd; tussock shorn two and four-tooth wethers, 41s 3d.
