FORMER BOMBAY RESIDENTS ARRIVAL IN DOMINION PA AUCKLAND, Dec. 17. Many New Zealand servicemen who passed through Bombay during the last war will remember Mrs Slater, wife of Mr J. Slater, of Cheshire, both of whom arrived on the Ceramic. Mrs Slater was a member of the Women’s Voluntary Welfare Association which entertained hundreds of New Zealand and —ustralian .servicemen in Bombay. Mr Slater has spent most of his business life in India where he was director and technical adviser of W. H. Brady and Company, Ltd., one of the largest European firms of cotton mill owners in India.
