Shag Now in Perfect Order

The Otago Acclimatisation Society reports that the Mimihau and Wyndham Rivers are both slightly up and a little discoloured, but are falling and should be in fair order for the week-end. The Mataura River is very high and discoloured. The Waipahi is lo%v and weedy and the Shag is in perfect order. No report has been received from the Pomahaka, but it is expected that in view of the condition of the Mataura that this river will be similarly affected and anybody intending going to the Pomahaka would be wise to obtain information before going dowm. The Catlins branch rivers have not been reported on, but as the Wyndham, Mimihau and Waipahi will be in order for the week-end it would be safe to assume these rivers will be in fair condition.

Mahinerangi Dam and the Shag River would appear to be the most promising for the week-end.
