MR SEMPLE NOT YET READY TO RETIRE
•v; PA AUCKLAND, Dec. 16. Asked if he would be contesting the election next year, the Minister of ■ Works, Mr Semple, was non-commital in an interview in Auckland. He said that if it was physically possible, he , ,‘ K , would like to see the development of the schemes which he had ’ outlined "'-‘'for the various districts in full swing ' before he retired from public life. Mr Semple, wh'o was born in Aus--4 tralia in 1873, was iabsent from the ' House of Representatives on occasfons during the recent session of Par- <*;), liament because of his health.
