LADIES’ BOWLING
ANNUAL SINGLES TOURNAMENT The Otago Ladies’ Bowling Association commenced its annual Singles tournament on Wednesday morning. Those who qualified for section play were:—Mesdames Whale, McCrorie, Faithful. Tamblyn, Seaton. Abbott, 4 wins; Mesdames Harvey, Stevenson, Belcher, Fortune. Murray, Williams, 3 wins; Mesdames Columbus. Darling, Gregory, Longworth, Thompson, Pettif, Baichin, Joyce, Knowles. Martin, Denmead, 2 wins; Mesdames Dumbleton, Hall, McDonald Coughlan, Sutherland, Storer, Miss Gray, 1 win. Section Play First Round.— Mrs Columbus beat Mrs Murray, Mrs Faithful beat Mrs Seaton, Mrs Whale beat Mrs McCrorie, Mrs Harvey beat Mrs Williams, Mrs Roulston beat Mrs Belcher, Mrs Stevenson beat Mrs Fortune, Mrs Abbott beat Mrs Stewart, Mrs Tamblyn a bye. Second Round. —Mrs Harvey beat Mrs Tamblyn, 'Mrs Columbus beat Mrs Roulston, Mrs Stevenson beat Mrs Faithful, Mrs Abbott beat Mrs Whale. In the semi-finals to-day, Mrs Harvey will play Mrs Columbus, and Mrs Stevenson wili play Mrs Abbott.
