FISHING PROSPECTS
Prospects for fishing this week-end are again far from bright. The Waitaki and all its tributaries with the exception of the Hakataramea are , still cloudy and almost unflshable. The Hakataramea Is flshable, as is the Kakanui, which has improved slightly with the recent rain.
The recent heavy fall of snow in the back country will, with a little warm weather, cause the rivers to rise again, and it is the general opinion that the conditions over Christmas will not be the best.
