HOUSEWIVES’ ASSOCIATION
Final Meeting for Year The Dunedin Housewives’ Association held its final meeting for the year yesterday. The president, Mrs E. W. Wilson, was in the chair. As the result of complaints about the condition of certain fruit shops it was decided to inquire whether such premises were inspected regularly. Members expressed the opinion that the closing of shops from Friday until Wednesday in the holiday period would result in hardship for housewives. It was decided that the executive should deal with any matters arising before the association's next meeting on February 17. An amusing competition and the serving of afternoon tea brought the meeting to a close.
