CLOUDY AND MILD The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation.—A deep depression is moving eastwards across the South Tasman Forecast to 5 p.m.--Moderate to fresh east or north-east winds, with some scattered rain in the far west, but elsewhere weather cloudy and mild. Weather in Dunedin.—Rain late on Saturday afternoon marred an otherwise ideal week-end in Dunedin. On Saturday, when the thermometer rose to 61.7 degrees, 9 hours 18 minutes of sunshine were recorded, and yesterday G hours 12 minutes. The minimum temperature on Saturday was 52.5 degrees, and yesterday 54.3, with a maximum of G 6.8 degrees. The rainfall for the 24 hours to 9.30 a.m. yesterday was 0.02 inches. A north-east breeze on Saturday turned easterly yesterday. The barometer was steady during the two days, and read 29.85 at midnight.
