VARIETY CONCERT
Dunedin Party’s Visit To raise funds to enable boys of St. Joseph’s Home, Waverley, to hold a camp between December 25 and January 5, a concert was held in the Opera House on Thursday night. A concert party from Dunedin contributed the larger portion of the programme, which was mainly vocal. Those taking part were:—A ladies choir and male octet, the Rev. Father Pound (Oarnaru), Messrs Geoffrey de Lautour, W. Lawrence, M. Fahey, Misses A. O’Connell. P. Curran, P. Naismith, M. Meehan E. Keenan and I. Gray, pupils of Christian Brothers’ College, and "Ray and Johnny,” ventriloquist. Miss A. O’Connell was the accompanist, and Mrs W. Buckland conducted the ladies’ choir.
