HOMING PIGEON CLUB
The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew a race on Saturday from Wellington. The winning bird flew the 389 miles in 9hr 12min, at a velocity of 1223.8 yards a minute. Eighty-two birds competed, with the following results:—J. Seoullar’s Airstrip 1, P. Paterson’s Marionette 2, A. Morris’s Flying Girl 3, A. Morris’s Test Pilot 4, J. Williams's Irene 5, M. Anderson’s Hill Crest 6, A. Fraser’s Regal Return 7. A race will be flown from Christchurch next Saturday.
