ANOTHER QUEST NEXT YEAR BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPOINTED P.A PAHIATUA, Oct. 28. The personnel of the honorary board of directors of the Miss New Zealand Quest, 1949, was announced this morning by the Dominion president of the Air Force Association. Mr R. J. Sinclair. The members are:—Air Chief Marshal 'Sir Keith Park, Mrs D. Basham. Messrs T. A. Barrow (Air Secretary), W. Clarke (general manager of the National Airways Corporation) H. D. Christie (president of the R.N..Z Aero Club), E. A. Tarrant (Junior Chamber of Commerce), H. A. Davy, R. J. Sinclair, F. E. Whimp, and K. W. Kilpatrick (executive director). Mr Sinclair said that the contest would be conducted on the same lines as the recent Miss New Zealand quest, in which Miss Mary Wootton was successful. Candidates will be required to raise £ 100 nomination fee. The proceeds of the quest are to create a fund for the establishment of memorial centres throughout the Dominion. The quest would be officially launched on February 1, 1949, said Mr Kilpatrick, but further details would be available after the first meeting of directors in Wellington on November 10.
