MODERATE TO MILD The official weather forecast, issued •by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington. is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone liels north of New Zealand and a series of depressions lie from SouOh-east' Australia to the south-eatft of the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m.—North to northeast winds, strong at times in ex--posed positions. Weather, changeable, with some scattered light rain and temperatures moderate to mild. Further Outlook.—Unsettled. Weather in Dunedin. —A maximum temperature of 81.5 degrees marked a day of tropical heat, which ended yesterday with steady rain. A light south-west wind did little to cool the sunshine, which lasted for shr 30min, while the minimum temperature was 60.5 degrees, and the grass minimum was 57.4 degrees. Pressures declined steadily until noon, when they rose again, the barometer reading at midnight being 29.7 inches.
