Southland Handicap Prospect in Hall Ace
Special to the Daily Times INVERCARGILL, Oct. 28. Although the weather has improved during the past few days, the forecast is not promising for the Invercargill Trotting Club’s spring meeting on Saturday. The track will be on the heavy side. Three races are carded for divisions with the Novice Handicap in three divisions, and little chance of it being reduced to two. It is unlikely that the Travis Memorial Handicap will be divided. Form horses include:— 11.0: Novice Handicap.—First division: Fernbrook Jack. Golden Jack. Second division: Landlight, Curiosity. Third divison: Eynsford Oak. Leyte Hall. 11.50: Monowai Hahdicap.—First division: Knocknagree. May Ring. Glamour Girl. Second division: Stray Shot, Ivondale. Olympus. 12.40: Crescent Handicap.—Sandyscene bracket. Tutta Bella, Fernbrook Jack. 1.30: Southland Handicap.—Hall Ace. Decreed. Prince Hall bracket. 2.10': Takitimu Handicap.—Bradley, Solandri, Armadillo. 2.50: Thomson Handicap.—Fortitude, Lucky Fellow, Glengarry. • 3.30: Travis Memorial Handicap.—First, division: Bingendale, Olympus, Glamour Girl. Second division: Knocknagree. Stray Shot, Ivondale. 4.20: Members’ Handicap.—Esto Fidelis, Parawa Derby, Decreed.
