FOUR RECORDS BROKEN

TECHNICAL COLLEGE SPORTS DAY Four records were broken and one equalled by girls of the King Edward Technical College at the school’s annual athletic sports day at the University Oval yesterday. W. Jenkins won the Girls’ Senior Championship and F. Davidson won the Junior event. The Boys.’ Championship events were not concluded yesterday, and will be-continued on Tuesday. . The day was devoted by the pupils to group sporting events in an attempt to permit the majority of the school to take part, rather than confine exercise to the expert athletes. Novelty events were also included in a programme which attracted over 1500 entries, and was completed In a day which was at times gusty and showery.
