Children Fell Trees in Park
Rec. 0.30 a.m. LONDON, Oct 18. The Yorkshire Post reports that *, 200 children armed with saws and axes demolished the woodland in , the Wombwell Miners’ Welfare Park after a passerby jokingly told a few children to “take the lot,” when they asked him if they could have some wood for a , abonfire. In one horn* they felled 147 trees. One group used a pony ; to move the wood. .’
