TRAFALGAR DAY CEREMONY PRESENTATION OF COLOUR Trafalgar Day this year will have a special significance for the Dunedin Sea Cadets, for on the evening of that important anniversary they will receive their colour. The presentation of the colour will be made by the Chief of the New Zealand Naval Staff. Commodore G. W. G. Simpson, C.8.E., R.N.. who will arrive in Dunedin ly car to-morrow afternoon. The colour is the first to be presented to Sea Cadets in New Zealand. Sent from England, it carries a Union Jack flag, the Sea Cadets’ crest, and the words “ Otago, New Zealand.” The colour is richly finished, and carries a gold fringe. It will be mounted on a specially-carved staff. The ceremony of presenting the colour will commence at 7.30. A colour guard comprising a sub-lieutenant, two pettj officers, and two leading seamen, all in full d-ill order, with rifles and fixed bayonets, will be mounted. Alter the ceremony, Commodore Simpson will give an address at an “ at home” in the Tudor Lounge arranged by the Navy League to mark the anniversary, of the Battle of Trafalgar.
