CAR OVERTURNS

DRIVER KILLED P-A. AUCKLAND, Oct. 17. When a motor car overturned on the West Coast road, Glen Eden, at 9. p.m. on Saturday, the diiver was killed. He was Denis Frederick Clement, aged 24, a boilermaker, of Torbay. With three companions, Francis Andrew Collier, Leslie Heron, and Roy James Reed, the deceased was driving toward Glen Eden from Avondale. While turning a corner, the car skidded, and rolled along the road, coming to rest in the gateway of a house. The deceased, Collier, and Heron were all thrown out of the car. The three passengers suffered cuts and bruises, and were treated at the Auckland Hospital casualty department.
